Dubai. Indian Test batsman Cheteshwar Pujara has captured the second place in the latest Test Rankings released on Tuesday by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday. Team Captain Virat Kohli is at number five.Pujara had a partnership of 143 in the first innings against Sri Lanka in the second Test played in Nagpur. On the same innings, he has left England captain Joe Root and New Zealand captain Ken Williamson. Australia's Steve Smith is in possession of the first position.

Smith played 141 against England in the first Test of the Ashes series. Smith has completed 21 centuries in 57 Test matches with this century. Pujara has come in second place for the third time.
